Fire Risk Assessments in Doncaster

What is …

A Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) is a crucial part of identifying and controlling risks from fire to people and property. It is also a legal requirement under current Fire Safety Legislation.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires that any non-domestic premises e.g. an office, a shop, a hotel, a healthcare facility or an HMO (house of multiple occupancy) – must conduct a comprehensive Fire Risk Assessment in Sunderland. This must be carried out by a Competent Person and reviewed at regular intervals.

Your business premises should undergo a Fire Risk Assessment at least annually, or if this is a significant change to the premises such as usage of structural change. A Fire Risk Assessment identifies any areas of your premises that pose a particular risk from fire. Additionally, the FRA determines individuals who are at risk and ways that any highlighted areas can be amended.

What needs to be considered?

Areas that need to be considered in almost all Fire Risk Assessments in Liverpool are fire detection systems, emergency exits and routes (including evacuation plans), firefighting equipment and the availability of information and any fire safety training required.
