Fire Safety Training in Sheffield

What is …

Fires in the workplace can have large effects on both businesses and individuals. Often this goes beyond the fire itself. A serious fire can result in a business ceasing permanently with an even greater cost to individual workers. Current legislation requires employers to ensure that their staff are fully prepared and trained to react in the event of a fire. This course equips attendees with knowledge on how to reduce the chances of a fire starting and taking hold as well as actions should the worst happen.

Many are also PREVENTABLE!

What does course cover …

The Fire Safety Training in Sheffield course covers past and current Legislation in Fire Safety, Theory of combustion, fire behaviour and spread, fire control and safety systems, actions in the event of a fire, fire extinguishers and equipment. The course lasts 2-3 hours. Candidates will receive a Certificate and we can also provide a group certificate for your records. Cataldo Training is affiliated with IFSM Institute of Fire Service Managers.

Fire Safety Case Study

At Cataldo Training Ltd, we carry out observations as part of every Fire Training course delivered at a client’s premises. This gives us the opportunity to review the Fire Safety procedures currently in place and highlight areas where they may be developed further to improve safety for staff, visitors, and anyone else on site.

Through our consultancy service, we also support clients by reviewing their existing in-house training processes and advising on ways they can be improved. Recently, a Leeds-based client contacted us after relocating to new premises due to business expansion. They wanted to refresh their online training materials for new starters before employees moved on to practical-based Fire Training.

Our team reviewed and analysed the client’s current training package, then worked with them to identify useful changes. We recommended improvements to make the learning clearer, more effective, and better aligned with the Fire Safety knowledge their staff needed. We also advised on additional areas that would be valuable to include.

The aim is to make sure every new employee receives current, relevant information that supports their understanding and prepares them for potential Fire Safety situations in the workplace.
