What is …
Fires in the workplace can have large effects on both businesses and individuals. Often this goes beyond the fire itself. A serious fire can result in a business ceasing permanently with an even greater cost to individual workers. Current legislation requires employers to ensure that their staff are fully prepared and trained to react in the event of a fire. This course equips attendees with knowledge on how to reduce the chances of a fire starting and taking hold as well as actions should the worst happen.
What does course cover …
The course covers past and current Legislation in Fire Safety, Theory of combustion, fire behaviour and spread, fire control and safety systems, actions in the event of a fire, fire extinguishers and equipment. The course lasts 2-3 hours. Candidates will receive a Certificate and we can also provide a group certificate for your records. Cataldo Training is affiliated with IFSM Institute of Fire Service Managers.

Cataldo Training was approached by a regular client to design and deliver practical firefighting taster sessions for Uniformed Protection Services students aged 16–18.

Fire Safety Case Study
At Cataldo Training Ltd, we offer observations as standard on every Fire Training course we deliver on a client’s site. These observations consider the current Fire Safety procedures in place and how they can be built upon further for the safety of everyone concerned.
As part of our consultancy service, we will also review any in-house training procedures that you have and advise of any improvements that can be applied. We were recently contacted by a Leeds-based client who moved into new premises as the company expanded. They advised us of their wish to update their online training packages for all new employees prior to practical-based courses.
At Cataldo Training Ltd, we examined and analysed their current training package. By working closely with the client, we advised on amendments to enhance the quality of their staff’s learning as well as additional topics to focus on.
